  The setting and grounds were lovely,the weather was great so there was lovely walks in the grounds, also the interior of the house, was lovely open fires which were really nice. The Guinness was excellent.

  I was disappointed that there was no spa, felt it needed something to do as it was a bit boring. Also was very disappointed with the food. Had the Thai Green Curry, it lacked flavour and was full of big green peppers. My husband had the fish and chips which were okay but the batter on the fish was soggy, it was a Mon evening and was'nt busy so this was no excuse. The pillows were not very comfortable they were to flat and seemed cheap and they used plastic backed mattress protectors which I absolutely hate as they make me to hot to sleep, There was a shop in the house which had a sign giving opening hours but was closed although it was within the times given

  Excellent service in a nice relaxed environment without the 'stuffiness' of some luxury hotels.

  It didnt have a pool or spa. It's probably too far away to travel to it's sister hotel in Kilronan to avail of it's spa facilities-30 min drive.

  From the moment we rang the Castle Rynn, the staff were friendly. Room was luxury and well maintained. Food excellent especial enjoyed the afternon tea looking out on the Lake. Was not to far from key forest, the Castle beautiful garden were great for an early morning walk walk and was near enough to other towns to enjoy some good food and sigh seeing would visit again

  Stayed here 2 years ago so said we'd come back.we were very disappointed.for such a price we thou we would at least have a tv that worked.we had a control with no back on it and didn't work.my boyfriend went for shower went to lower shower down it fell off in his hand and straight on his toe.we ordered room service for breakfast and very disappointed again.it was not a good breakfast rashers rock hard egg like a bullet we asked on card for toast and brown bread for 2 but we did not get so I don't think card was read.over all we feal standards have slipped and we won't be bàck

  location excellent if slightly off the beaten track, water, countryside,beautiful walks,castle accommodation much as expected top notch, food excellent

  Only disappointment is I was not notified when booking that main dining room is closed on Monday night

  My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in January 2012. We were thrilled with our stay and left thoroughly refreshed and relaxed. The decor is flawless and the staff thoroughly professional. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here each day. A joyous experience from start to finsh. 3 cheers for Lough Rynn!

  I had hoped for snow at this time of year but alas there was none.

  Lough Rynn Castle is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. It was lovely to go for a long walk on the grounds and then relax by the fireside afterwards.

  Lough Rynn offered style, class , romance and a welcoming feeling in warm welcoming surroundings .. Wonderful walks, walled gardens & views. Beautiful design with beds that encapusulate you for a great nights sleep. Great value for money, good wine list & a strong selection of foods at both bar & dining room level.. Staff are gracious, pleasant and more than willing to make your stay a memorable one..

  loved the relaxing atmosphere,friendly staff best ever beautiful bedroom fab bar food and so reasonably priced,and also had a fab dinner in restaurant also had breakfast in bed lovely treat to complete our wonderful stay at lough rynn will be back again top class

  We spent only one night midweek and will stay longer next time. My favourite thing was the fact that while this is a high end property there was not that stuffy, pretentious feeling. The staff were so friendly and down to earth but utterly professional and it felt more like staying at someone's home. The meal we had was superb, both in quality and the level of service. All in all, a short but very sweet break which left us wanting more.

  We had a family wedding in Lough Rynn two years ago.We were made feel as though we owned the hotel that day, and indeed in the planning process prior to it.Nothing was too much trouble for staff.Many guests have returned for short breaks since.I Myself have travelled a great deal,and lived on three continents,but Lough Rynn caps all experiences in terms of outstanding decor and the food...sublime.A Warm welcoming fire is a sight for weary travellers,in a word here in this place you have the best of old style rural decency combined with world calss standards.Ireland is lucky to have Lough Rynn Castle.

  Castle is beautiful. Lovely lounge rooms. We ate from the bar menu but had the fantastic library room with throne style seating at the centrepiece table all to ourselves which was much more special than the restaurant. Staff were lovely, chatty and not pretentious. The grounds are beautiful!

  The food was fine but we expected better as it is a 4 star hotel, breakfast was satisfactory but didn't have any wow factor. We stayed for one night which was lovely but think it would have been too quiet for us to stay for longer. Our room was not in the main castle building which was very disappointing. Our room was lovely but running in the rain to go between the buildings for a drink/dinner took away from the experience.

  Beautiful setting, hotel is beautiful also.

  We had a room in the castle which was v nice, with a v comfy bed. My sister was also booked in the stay but they were given a took off the castle which they were v disappointed with... Fortunately they got moved to a castle room and had a v pleasant stay. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were a little under pressure in the bar in the evening, but the once served we were v comfy and relaxed. Would go back!

  The bar lacks atmosphere, it's quite quiet and there's not a huge amount of seating, we had to wait for a table to come available in the front room(which is v comfy and relaxing). Would be v disappointed if I had to stay in a room away from the castle....so bear this in mind when checking in to request a castle room!

  The staff were very friendly and helpful . the food in the restraunt was lovely and reasonable for the set menu , when we checked in the room was not ready , when we returned our bag had already been brought to our room by the porter we were shown to our room by the porter he explained how every things works etc. this had never been done for us before at any other hotel even 5 star hotels.

  The only thing that was wrong was that they could not find our booking when we were checking but they soon found it . when I mentioned that a voucher was bought for us there on the begininng of the month.

  This is my second visit to Rynn in the past couple of months, as always it was a wonderful stay. From check in to bar, in particular Chris. Will be back again shortly.

  I like the luxurious accomodation, welcoming open fire, and absolute tranquility about Lough Rynn. The restaurant also serves up beautiful dishes with relaxing soft music in the background and very attentive waiting staff.I Intend to return again.

  Its a little bit expensive to visit more than once a year.

  Nice place

  Uncomfortable bed room 206 lack of leisure facilities and bit of a let down although I did know this prior to booking.

  Everything! It was world class.

  The only thing about the hotel was that the mini bar in the room was empty and was plugged out.

  Location excellent, staff and service very good.layout very good and relaxing.Ideal for quiet few days or week end.

  Disappointed with room, reminded me of attic or loft No view whatsover, felf clausterphobic. Furnishing excellent and bed comfortable but unable to relax.
